The Accounting Manager manages the day-to-day accounting and payroll transactions for the STC Industrial Group of Companies. The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing accounting procedures, practices, records, and principles to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Controller with workflow process improvement and special projects.
• Collaborating with direct reports to determine objectives and goals for each year and advising on progress to enhance staff professional development.
• Oversee all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll transactions.
• Assign responsibilities, provide guidance, and support, and conduct performance evaluations of clerical staff.
• Mentoring and coaching accounting staff to optimize performance.
• Ensure the team’s effectiveness and productivity while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assisting in the design and implementation of features and procedures to enhance the accounting department’s workflow.
• Ensuring members of the clerical accounting team to meet
• Monitoring and analyzing the accounting department to develop more efficient procedures and proper use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate financial reports.
• Coordinate the preparation of documents and analysis for annual audits.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in financial practices, adhering to professional codes of conduct.
• Other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values.

Education and Experience:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 3 years of management experience
• Proficiency with various accounting software programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to meet all assigned deadlines.

Keys Welding Service Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager located at our facility in the North Corman Industrial Park. The individual we are seeking will have the exceptional ability to manage multiple projects from estimation to completion. They will be able to coordinate professionally between customers and our team to ensure exemplary customer service.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Provide overall project management for multiple projects.
• Oversee multiple projects from bid to completion.
• Ability to quote several bids and projects simultaneously.
• Prepare tender documents.
• Control budgets
• Identify and resolve conflicts and create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
• Review and comment on internal shop drawings.
• Manage contractor site meetings, RFIs, and control change orders.
• Work in collaboration with customer to project completion.
• Monitor in conjunction with manager, shop foreman and site foreman, a project’s material and labor costs for efficiency and optimal customer satisfaction.
• Maintain positive working relationships.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in project planning and estimating supply and installation of
  structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
• Expert knowledge of fabrication practices
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver’s License/ability to attend job site meetings.

• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Responsible for accurately filling out process sheets daily logs as project documentation is required.
• Performing first level of quality control.
• Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite.
• Accurately lay out the work piece for fitting of components for, drilling or punching of holes, bending of plates and material edge preparation. (Chamfer, Bevel, Flame Cut, Plasma)
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Maintain safe working place by using safe work practices.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Fabricator
• 3-5 years experience
• CWB Ticket, SMAW, GMAW, All Position, and SCOT Training.
• Highly motivated, providing exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.

Keys Welding Service Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Paint Shop Labourer located at our facility in the North Corman Industrial Park. The Paint Shop Labourer supports the painters and shop team by preparing materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and assisting with basic shop tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist painters with prepping parts (cleaning, sanding, masking, hanging, etc.)
• Move materials in and out of the paint area
• Keep the paint booth and surrounding work areas clean and organized
• Perform basic touch-ups.
• Follow safety procedures, including PPE requirements
• Assist with loading/unloading and general shop duties as needed
• Work as part of a team but also independently when required
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

What we are looking for:

• Prior paint shop or industrial labour experience is an asset but not required
• Comfortable working around paint, chemicals, and equipment

Keys Welding Service Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Yard Worker located at our facility in the North Corman Industrial Park.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload and move materials, supplies, and equipment around the yard using forklifts, telehandler, and loader.
• Maintain an organized and orderly yard, ensuring materials are stored correctly and accessible for production needs.
• Assist with inventory counts and manage stock level of materials and supplies. Report shortages or excesses to supervisor.
• Properly dispose of scrap materials and waste, following shop procedures and environmental regulations.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist shop personnel with the movement of materials and equipment as needed.
• Keep accurate records of materials moved, equipment maintenance, and any issues encountered.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality outputs.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or his/her designate.

Qualifications:

• Experience running material handling equipment including, forklift, telehandler and loader.
• Earth works experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or welding shop environment is an asset.
• Ability to identify steel members using a tape measure and referencing a steel handbook.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety guidelines.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisor and senior team members.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

The Senior Project Manager manages the production picture at Keys Welding Service and leads the project management team. The Senior Project Manager manages the live view of where every project sits, what is coming, and what is moving through the shop, and uses that view to keep production balanced, the team developing, and the work on track.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Manages the live status of all active projects, knowing where each one sits, what is coming, and what is moving through the shop. This is the core of the role, and everything else runs off it.
• Manages the bid list. Monitors the bid inboxes daily, reviews incoming bids, and assigns them out. Makes the bid or no-bid call early in the available window rather than at the deadline, so clients and the team have room to work.
• Manages and maintains the production schedule, keeping it accurate and current as project managers input their work.
• Facilitates the weekly production meeting and the midweek production huddles.
• Manages project decisions and backs them with data and sound operational reasoning.
• Keeps project files current and in the company structure, so any team member can step in and run the work.
• Communicates openly, keeps the team and stakeholders informed, and carries decisions to the team clearly while supporting them in execution.
• Understands the quality requirements of each project well enough to bid and run it accurately, flags quality decisions to the client when needed, and manages scope so the work meets the requirement without over-building. Works with the Quality Manager as the authority on codes and standards.
• Handles project administration, including change orders, vendor invoice approvals, work in progress updates, and vacation sign-offs for the team.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Five years of project management experience, preferably in the steel or industrial fabrication industry.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead a team and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong project management experience in welding, fabrication, steel, or industrial projects.
• Strong ability to interpret structural and shop drawings.
• Skilled in budgeting, resource planning, and estimating project costs.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting key financial operations at STC Industrial Group including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, and audit preparation. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position is located at Keys Welding Service Ltd. facility in the North Corman Industrial Park.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead bi-weekly payroll processing, including time entry review, pay rate changes, premiums, deductions, allowances, and fringe benefits.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices; manage accounts receivable follow-ups on overdue
  accounts.
• Processing accounts payable transactions, vendor payments, and statement review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory tracking and management tasks.
• Prepare audit-related documentation and support audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures; identify and implement
  improvements.
• Lead the process for the project close out within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members on financial and administrative projects.
• Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
• Perform other duties as required to support organizational goals and values.

Education and Experience:

• Accounting certificate or diploma preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Experience with accounting software is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
